In short: we earn a commission when you enroll in a course through a link on this site. It never changes your price. The commission rates differ between schools. We decide our ordering before considering those rates, and we label every paid link.

How the links work

Links to real estate schools on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to purchase a course, the school pays us a percentage of that sale or a fixed referral fee.

You pay exactly the same price as you would going direct. The commission comes out of the school's margin, not out of your pocket, and using our link never removes a discount you would otherwise get.

Every one of these links carries the label "Paid link" directly beneath it. We label them individually rather than relying on a single notice elsewhere on the page, because a disclosure you have to go looking for isn't much of a disclosure.

Who we have relationships with

We have, or are seeking, affiliate relationships with the schools listed on this site, which currently include The CE Shop, Colibri Real Estate and AceableAgent. This list changes; we will keep this page current.

The rates are not the same across schools. Some pay a percentage of the sale, some a fixed amount, and some cap the amount payable on a single sale. This means our financial interest is not identical across the options we present to you, which is exactly why it's disclosed.

How we keep it out of the ranking

Our ordering is set on the criteria described in our methodology — state approval, what each tier includes, course format, pass guarantees and support — and is decided before commercial terms are considered.

We do not accept payment for placement. No school can buy a higher position, a "best" label, or removal of an unfavourable comparison.

What we are not

We are not a real estate school. We do not provide courses, issue certificates, or hold education-provider approval from any state. Courses are provided by the schools listed, each of which holds approval from the relevant state agency. Your enrollment agreement is with that school.

Independence

This site presents itself as an independent comparison, and we take that seriously. Being compensated by the companies we compare is a genuine tension. Our response is to state it plainly wherever it's relevant — above the fold on every page, on each individual link, and here in full — so you can weigh our recommendations knowing exactly what sits behind them.
