Where to take the 48 and 24 hours
Both schools below sell Missouri courses at the correct hour counts. What separates them is whether the way they package the hours matches the sequence the rules impose.

How to get your Missouri licence
Six steps, and the trap is that steps two and four are separated by the exam, not joined into one course.
Take the 48-hour course first
The Salesperson Pre-Examination Course must be completed "prior to the date of examination" and no more than six months before the Commission receives your application. Finishing it starts the clock on everything that follows.
Sit the PSI exam
One hundred national questions at 70% and forty Missouri questions at 75% — two different passing marks, which is why a single percentage quoted for Missouri is wrong either way. $52 covers one portion or both, and a retake is $52 again.
Then take the 24-hour Practice Course
The rules require the Missouri Real Estate Practice Course to be "completed after successful completion of the Salesperson Pre-Examination Course." It is legally a sequel, not a module you can take first or alongside.
Register and get fingerprinted
Register with the Missouri State Highway Patrol's approved vendor for a state and FBI fingerprint check. Anyone applying for an original licence after 31 December 2010 has to do this.
Line up a sponsoring broker
The application has a sponsoring broker section, so the brokerage conversation needs to happen while you are still studying, not after.
Apply — inside six months
Application fee $50 plus a $50 original issuance fee. Everything above has to land inside six months of finishing the 48-hour course.

Missouri FAQs
Is Missouri really 72 hours in one course?
No, and this is the fact worth getting right. The 72 hours are two separate courses that must be taken in order with the state exam in between. 20 CSR 2250-3.010(4)(A)3 requires the 24-hour Missouri Real Estate Practice Course to be "completed after successful completion of the Salesperson Pre-Examination Course," and (4)(A)1 requires the 48-hour course to be finished "prior to the date of examination." Buying a bundled 72-hour package is fine — finishing all 72 before you test is not what the rules contemplate.
What happens if I miss the six-month deadline?
You lose the exam as well as the courses. 20 CSR 2250-3.010(8) says applicants have "six (6) months after satisfactory completion of the required course(s) of study within which to pass the required examination and apply for license. After six (6) months, credit for such course(s) and examination will expire." That clock has to absorb your exam booking, the whole 24-hour second course, fingerprinting, finding a broker and the Commission receiving your file.
What score do I need to pass the Missouri exam?
Two different scores. PSI's Missouri bulletin sets the national portion at 100 questions with a 70% pass mark and the state portion at 40 questions with a 75% pass mark. They are scored separately, so any single percentage quoted for Missouri is wrong on one portion or the other.
Does Missouri require post-licensing education?
No. There is no post-licensing requirement in Chapter 339 RSMo or in 20 CSR 2250. The 24-hour Missouri Real Estate Practice Course is sometimes described as Missouri's post-licensing course, but it is a pre-licence requirement — a condition of the original application under 20 CSR 2250-3.010(4)(A)3, not something you do after the licence issues.
When does my Missouri licence expire?
Salesperson licences expire 30 September in each even-numbered year; broker licences expire 30 June in each even-numbered year (20 CSR 2250-4.020(1)(A) and (B)). Roundups that print one Missouri renewal date are giving you the other licence type's deadline about half the time.
Do I need a high school diploma to get licensed in Missouri?
No such requirement appears in § 339.040 RSMo, in 20 CSR 2250-3.010, or as a question on the Commission's application form. The statutory personal requirement is that you be at least eighteen years of age.
Does Missouri require errors and omissions insurance?
No. Chapter 339 RSMo contains no errors and omissions provision, none of the 20 CSR 2250 chapters imposes one, and the Commission's application form asks for no carrier or policy details. Individual brokerages often require cover as a condition of joining — that is a private arrangement, not Missouri law.
