Where to take the 120 hours
Both schools appear on the Division's approved pre-licensing course list, each approved for distance education. Neither appears on the separate post-licensing sponsor calendar — so read the second card's first bullet before you choose.

How to get your Nevada licence
Five steps — and note that step two changed in July 2025, so most guides still describe it wrongly.
Complete 120 hours in four named courses
45 hours of Real Estate Principles, 45 of Real Estate Law including 18 hours of Nevada law, 15 of contracts and 15 of agency. The last two are Nevada-specific. College credit substitutes at one semester credit for fifteen hours, and an instruction hour is fifty minutes.
Register and pay at the Division first
Since 29 July 2025 you register and pay for the exam on the Division's own website, then wait two to three business days for an authorisation email from Pearson VUE before you can schedule. Payments are final and non-refundable. Guides that send you straight to Pearson VUE are describing the old process.
Pass the exam
80 national questions and 40 Nevada questions, 75% correct on each. Pass one and fail the other and you retake only the failed part — but if twelve months pass without both, the whole exam goes.
Get fingerprinted, then apply within 12 months
$140 for a salesperson application. Fingerprints expire quickly, so do not print early: the Division's current page and its 2025 form both say two months, though an older form still says six.
Then 30 hours of post-licensing in year one
Your first licence runs one year, ending the last day of your anniversary month, and renewing it needs 30 hours of post-licensing across modules A to O. Every session on the Division's approved sponsor calendar is classroom delivery.

Is Nevada 90 hours or 120 hours?
One hundred and twenty. The Division's own salesperson requirements page sets out the four courses that make it up: 45 hours of Real Estate Principles, 45 of Real Estate Law including 18 hours of Nevada law, 15 hours of contracts and 15 of agency. The 90-hour figure is genuinely dead — but it survives in a lot of places, including one merchant's requirements page, several indexed product titles, and the Division's own 2019 Course Manual. Note too that you must meet the requirements in force when your application is received, so an old 90-hour certificate has to be topped up.
Can I complete a Nevada real estate licence entirely online?
You can complete the 120 pre-licensing hours online. You cannot complete the licence. Renewing your first one-year licence takes 30 hours of post-licensing across modules A to O, and every session on the Division's approved post-licensing sponsor calendar is listed as classroom delivery — neither national school appears on that calendar at all. From the second renewal onward, at least 18 of your 36 continuing education hours must be taken through live instruction. So a package sold as taking you from zero to a renewed licence will run out at month twelve, and again at every renewal after it.
Where do I register for the Nevada exam?
At the Division, not at Pearson VUE. Since 29 July 2025 candidates must register and pay for the exam on the Division's website first, and then receive an authorisation-to-test email from Pearson within two to three business days before scheduling. Payments are final and non-refundable. Almost everything published before that date — including Pearson's own Nevada candidate handbook and at least one merchant's requirements page — still tells you to book directly with Pearson.
What is on the Nevada exam and what do I need to pass?
80 scored national questions and 40 scored Nevada questions for salesperson candidates, and you need 75% correct. The two portions are passed separately, so failing one means retaking only that one — but both have to be passed within twelve months or you retake the entire exam. You then have twelve months from passing to get the application in.
How long are Nevada fingerprints valid?
Two months, on the Division's current guidance — but its own forms disagree. The live requirements page and the 2025 licensing-requirements form both say two months; an older application form still says six. Plan for two months, because printing early and having to redo it is the expensive way to find out which is being applied.
Does Nevada require a high school diploma?
No such requirement appears in the statutory qualification section, in the education statute, or on the Division's current forms and requirements page. Nevada's only educational gate is the 120 pre-licensing hours. A number of comparison pages assert a diploma requirement by boilerplate.
Does Nevada require errors and omissions insurance?
No. There is no errors and omissions mandate for salespersons, broker-salespersons or brokers in the real estate chapter of either the statutes or the regulations, renewal is conditioned only on completing the required education, and the Division's renewal form carries no carrier or policy field. Nevada does require insurance in some adjacent professions the same Division regulates, which is the likely source of the claim. Brokerages often require cover privately.
Does Nevada publish exam pass rates by school?
No. The Division publishes provider lists — the approved pre-licensing course list and the post-licensing sponsor calendar — but no school-by-school pass-rate table, and both lists carry an express disclaimer that the Division does not endorse any sponsor. Any Nevada pass rate you see advertised is self-reported and cannot be checked against a state source.
